Urban Pedagogy
Urban Pedagogy
It is well known among transformational leaders in any district, there IS a difference between schools deemed as "regular" schools and those schools characterized by the state as "turn around schools." While transformational schools are provided with increased funding and resources, most of the time the schools are still left trying to figure out how to implement resources given. This is mainly due to those resources not being specifically designed to meet the need of school improvement environments.

In this session titled, "Urban Pedagogy" we discuss necessary timelines, professional and culture development needed in order to facilitate and improve school transformation. From new teachers to parents communities, transformation schools are unique in that everything we do (down to the last second) matters!

This session will address the following:

- Instructional leadership timeline
- Culture, Culture, Culture
- New Teacher Induction and Development
- Quick & Consistent Observation/Feedback
- Data Driven Instruction & Intervention Development
